What we did these weeks.
Short notes, most weeks. What we built, and what was broken while we built it. The bad weeks stay in, because a list of only good ones would not tell you much.

Every page was telling Google it was the homepage.
One line in a file the whole site shares set the official address of every page to the homepage. So the products page, the pledge, this page, all of them were quietly disclaiming themselves.
Each page names its own address now.

Eight deploys in a row had failed without anyone noticing.
Publishing the site was supposed to happen on its own. It had not worked once. The key it needed was never made, and the error read like trouble at the host rather than something missing on our side, so the site had only been updating when one of us pushed it out by hand.
In the same week: the competitor research we keep for ourselves was part of what we published. It is ours only now, and not in what ships.
We were also telling search engines to fetch a list of our pages that did not exist, at an address that sends you somewhere else. There is a real one now.

The price under the headline was in the wrong currency.
It read zero dollars a month, on a site that prices in euros. It says free while you work on your own now, which is what we meant.
The preview people see when they paste a link to us into a chat still described the site as it read before the last rewrite. It matches the page again.

One typeface across the site.
The header ran on a different font than the pages underneath it. Everything is Denim now.
Headings are set in real bold. The faked italics are gone.

We tested what a proposal should look like.
An agent should hand over a short decision: the options, and what happens if we do nothing.
Anything we had not checked ourselves, we marked as unverified.

The site speaks Dutch and English.
Every line moved into locale files, with a switcher in the header.
The hero became a proposal to approve instead of an empty prompt box. Prices moved to euros.

We rebuilt the website.
A new homepage, written in plain language instead of product terms.
Added the ALIVE field that moves under the cursor.
