What we believe

We collect the minimum we need to run this site and to improve what we build. We do not sell data. We do not share it with advertisers. We do not build a profile of you. We do not track you across other sites.

If a business model depends on surveillance, it is not ours.

What we collect

Only the following:

• If you write to us or ask for a demo: the way you gave us to reach you, which can be a website, a phone number or an email address, and anything you wrote in the message.
• If you pay us: Stripe handles the payment. We see that you paid and what for. We never see or store your card number.
• Basic visit data: a session identifier, an approximate location (country and city) derived from your IP address, and a timestamp. We use this to understand where our readers are and whether the site is working.
• Standard server logs, kept briefly for security and debugging.

That is the whole list. No analytics pixels. No advertising cookies. No third-party trackers.

Why we collect it

To reply to you when you write, to keep the site running, and to learn what we build next. Nothing else.

Who sees it

We do. Our hosting provider, to the extent needed to deliver the site. Stripe sees payment data if you pay, under its own terms. We use a public IP lookup service to turn an IP address into a country and city; the IP address is sent to that service for that purpose and is not retained by them on our behalf. That is all.

We do not sell your data. We only hand data to a government if a court in the Netherlands or the EU compels us to.

Google user data

If you connect a Google account to a workspace, Alive uses it only to do what you ask the agent to do there. In Gmail: read, draft, send, label and archive mail on your instruction. In Google Drive: browse, read, create, edit and move files. In Google Calendar: read and manage events. We also read the account email address and profile name, to label the connection. Nothing is accessed until you connect the account.

We do not use Google data for advertising. We do not sell it. We do not use Google user data to train or improve generalised AI or machine-learning models. The agent only uses it to do the task you asked for in that workspace. We do not share it with anyone beyond the providers needed to run the Service, named in Who sees it and Where it lives. Nobody at Alive reads your Google data unless you ask us to for support, the law requires it, or we are investigating a security or abuse problem.

When you disconnect the integration or delete your account, the tokens and any cached Google data are deleted. You can disconnect in Alive, or revoke access at myaccount.google.com/permissions.

Alive's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. The use of information received from Google Workspace scopes will adhere to the Google Workspace API User Data and Developer Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

How long we keep it

Messages and demo requests: until you ask us to delete them, or until we decide we no longer need them. Visit data: kept for a limited time for operational use, then deleted or aggregated. Server logs: days, not months.

Where it lives

On servers in the European Union. Encrypted in transit.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask us what we hold about you, and have it corrected, exported, or deleted. Write to us and we will do it. No forms, no delay.

Should we ever get it wrong, you can also file a complaint with the Dutch supervisory authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).

Cookies

We use a single session cookie so that the site works. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

Children

This site is not for anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will update the date above and, where we can, tell the people who wrote to us.
